Refunds & Returns

We stand behind every piece we make. Here’s exactly how returns and refunds work at Black Anvil Craft.

QUICK SUMMARY

1. Our Promise

We want you to love your Black Anvil Craft order. If something isn’t right, we’ll do our best to fix it. This policy explains how returns, refunds, and replacements work.

2. Return Window

You have 30 days from the delivery date to request a return on eligible items. Returns requested after 30 days cannot be accepted.

3. Eligibility for Returns

  • Unused and in the same condition that you received it
  • In the original packaging
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

4. Custom & Personalized Items

Because every custom-engraved or personalized item is made specifically for you, these items are non-refundable and non-returnable, except in the case of: a defect or production error on our end, an incorrect item being shipped, or damage that occurred in transit. If any of the above apply, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we’ll make it right.

5. Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please email us at hello@blackanvilcraft.com within 7 days of delivery, with your order number, a clear photo of the issue, and a short description. We’ll respond within 24–48 business hours with a replacement or full refund.

 

6. How to Start a Return

  • Email hello@blackanvilcraft.com with the subject line “Return Request — [Order #]”
  • Include your name, order number, and the reason for return
  • We’ll reply with return instructions and the shipping address
  • Once we receive and inspect the item, we’ll process your refund

7. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (wrong item, defect, or damage). We recommend using a trackable shipping service — we can’t guarantee receipt of items lost in transit.

8. Refund Processing Time

Once your return is received and inspected, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take a few additional days for the refund to appear on your statement.

9. Exchanges

We currently process exchanges as a return + new order. Email us if you’d like to exchange an item — we’ll walk you through it.

10. Late or Missing Refunds

  • Check your bank account again
  • Contact your credit card company — it may take time before your refund is officially posted
  • Contact your bank — there’s often processing time before the refund appears
  • If you’ve done all of this and still haven’t received your refund, contact us at hello@blackanvilcraft.com
